Stop blaming the Jews. Though their sin was gross and grave, that is rejecting Christ, what happened to them in history were written for our learning that we might have hope. It is not much about them now, but more about us. The Jews had forged their own fetters; they had filled for themselves the cup of vengeance. In the utter destruction that befell them as a nation, and in all the woes that followed them in their dispersion, they were but reaping the harvest which their own hands had sown. In Hosea 13:9 O Israel, thou hast destroyed thyself…
By stubborn rejection of divine love and mercy, the Jews had caused the protection of God to be withdrawn from them, and Satan was permitted to rule them according to his will. The horrible cruelties enacted in the destruction of Jerusalem are a demonstration of Satan’s vindictive power over those who yield to his control.
The destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. by the Roman General Titus, is a fearful and solemn warning to all who are trifling with the offers of divine grace, and resisting the pleadings of divine mercy. Never was there given a more decisive testimony to God’s hatred of sin, and to the certain punishment that will fall upon the guilty.
When I was a young boy my parents had to rent a home and we wound up in inner city Cleveland, Ohio where every home was owned by a Jew. Now, being Catholic was found out real early after we moved into our rental apartment upstairs of a two family home. The kids knew right away I was a Catholic and every night I was chased home and they were after me! All Jews were the chasers yelling foul names at me. At one point I asked my father why I was not a Jew. Today of course I know how evil they really are and closed off from Christians. Killing Jesus was not enough for them.
There is something going on that is not being addressed. It is the ways that jewish people conduct business and negotiate . They always want a little extra or drive extra hard bargains , more than other cultures would do. After a time people’s collective memory brings this to the surface, recognize how they have been treated unfairly. True Jews were not allowed to own land, but they could always rent land and farm it . They always went to the businesses that were most lucrative. This is what I have gleaned from extensive reading. Only a small percentage of Jews are doing this and making a bad impression. It is part of the culture to behave this way. Apparently Jewish people are more intelligent. The only way I understand this could have happened is by selection. I read that this happened because Jewish people would always want a “smart” spouse. The less intelligent Jews , left the culture, became christian or other. This is why the Jewish populations is not increasing in the same way as the general population in Europe.
Consider the birthplace of Jesus Christ. Was the location of His birth an accident? Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary in Bethlehem, according to the prophecy in Micah 5:2: "O Bethlehem Ephrathah, you are but a small Judean village, yet you will be the birthplace of my King who is alive from everlasting ages past!" But Jesus' earthly parents, Mary and Joseph, lived in Nazareth in Galilee. Everyone who has ever seen a Christmas pageant should be familiar with the circumstances under which Jesus was born in Bethlehem, as recorded in Luke 2:1 "And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed." Joseph and his family had to travel to his ancestral home of Bethlehem in order to be counted in the census.
A number of scientists, including Stephen Jay Gould, have suggested that mankind is an accident of evolution, that we arrived here by chance. If pre-history had gone a little differently, perhaps dolphins or elephants would be ruling the earth right now. His former student Kurt Wise argues in his review of Gould's book (1989), that this view is a problem for Christians who would accept evolution. I reject both Gould's suggestion and Wise's corollary, and I base my rejection upon other events recorded in Scripture. It is indeed a problem, but it has an answer.
LIKE GENUINE GOODS SURVIVE ADULTERATED / NON GENUINE GOODS, SO DOES THE PURITY. THE MORE PURE RELIGIONS (TEACHINGS) ARE – THE LONGER THEY SURVIVE. AS NOTHING IS PERFECTLY IMMUNE – IMPURITIES INFILTRATES EVEN INTO RELIGIONS (TEACHINGS) IN DIFFERENT PROPORTIONS. ALL RELIGIONS (TEACHINGS) HAVE GOOD & SAINTLY TEACHERS WHO PUT IN ALL THEIR EFFORTS TO MAINTAIN THE SANITY OF THE SCRIPTURES & TEACHINGS.
I my self decend from Jewish religion my family were, now of protestant religion, I’ve no hatred for any religion, it’s of choice, all I see is more established and older it’s jealousy of being the first to have rules set by God, no matter who’s or what God just the fact that jewdisim is the leaders of rules to which other religions set rules by. Different but rules.
Every tradition in the world contains some seeds of truth, and likewise some of those seeds come to fruition and then rot, such as the justifications for slavery and the subjugation of the feminine, fully half of creation. We humans must be master pruners in order to keep cutting away the tribal rhetoric to come to deeper truth. This is true for every nation, every group. I deeply appreciate the religious and ethnic diversity of the world, and I pray that one day we can all respect each other for our differences as well as our common humanity, which is an inheritance from a God who loves all life and values us as a part of its own heart. May we achieve the peaceful coexistence which God implores us to find, first within our own souls.
Still one can’t suppress the thought: What if there is truly a way of taking matters into our own hands, becoming passively proactive instead of being reactive, waiting for the next blow all the time?!
Abraham the Patriarch left Babylon with a group of followers who sought relief from the egoistic society that was developing there. They became, with his guidance, a group of people who demonstrated that when they were connected together and practiced what we now know as the Golden Rule, they were aligned with nature, thus were “chosen” to develop this unity among the population. They were the first Jews, calling themselves Israel.
What is interesting to me is that all levels of society—individuals, organized groups, states and nations, even the United Nations—have mobilized a worldwide vendetta against a population of people who comprise only 0.2% of the global population. What is it about these Jews that so frightens the general masses? I’ve actually done a lot of thinking about this.
Being Jewish can at times be lonely, but the generations that preceded us knew it was worth it. This knowledge held up even if it meant being an Ivri, standing alone on one side with the world taunting us from the other. Being Jewish is about standing up for what we believe is right, regardless of popular opinion and practice. We are promised that ultimately the nations of the world will look to us for moral guidance just like they revered our forefather Abraham’s counsel. Until then, we need the strength to live up to our name — even if means being an Ivri when we find ourselves on the other side of public opinion.
Being Jewish is about standing up for what we believe is right, regardless of popular opinion and practice. We are a nation of Ivriim. We stand alone and, if we connect to who we really are, we have the power to transcend what appear to be the immutable rules of nature. History best illustrates this idea. What other nation has suffered so much for its belief system and has nonetheless clung tenaciously to it and not only survived but thrived? Empires have risen and fallen, and the laws of nature would have had the same happen to us, but we’re still here.
