Part of the reason we love our job is because we are all over the map, constantly exploring diverse areas of San Diego.  It is a privilege to live in a place like San Diego county where the beach, mountains, and desert are all within reach.  Even though it's good for us, going outside is something most people don't do enough!  So, in the spirit of getting out and enjoying this place we call home, we've listed 10 unique places in San Diego to go and explore with your friends/family this month.  If you visit one of these places, take a picture and send it to us!

1. Balboa Park

Take your kids, friends, dogs, or loved ones and go enjoy this hidden gem in La Mesa, CA.  Although there are access points throughout the neighnborhood parks and fields, the full route is just under 6 miles long!  Though it can take a while, it's considered an easy trail with tranquil views and plenty of stopping points.
