4th of July - What's your favorite part of Independence Day? Is it the BBQs, the family/friends gathering under sunny skies, or the epic show of explosive color that we all get to watch in anticipation and awe every year? Regarding fireworks shows, we've got plenty of locations that offer their own shows. Although many cities in San Diego will be putting fireworks on display, don't forget that we have the "biggest fireworks display on the West Coast" over San Diego Bay. The 18-minute show is called the "Big Bay Boom"! It's completely free, but you may want to bring your lawn chair and give yourself ample time to find parking because no matter which spot you choose to watch from, this event will be extremely popular! Olympics 2024 begins on July 26th! The 2024 Olympics is on the horizon! Although some sporting events begin July 24th, many eyes will be waiting to witness a promised extraordinary Opening Ceremony in the heart of Paris, along the Seine, on July 26th. About 10,500 athletes from 206 national committees will compete in 32 different sporting events for a chance to win an Olympic medal. Some have predicted top medalists overall will be Great Britain, the USA, and China. For the first time ever, there will be an equal amount of men and women competing, 5,250 of each athlete! Most events should be available to watch live, from July 24th-Aug 11th. Although this Olympics will be something to look forward to, the next will be even more impactful for us. If you didn't already know, the 2028 Olympics will be hosted in Los Angeles, CA.
